# BlindCalc Quick Start Guide

**Get started in 5 minutes!**

## Step 1: Register & Verify Email (2 min)

1. Click **"Register"** on homepage
2. Enter email and password
3. Check email inbox and click verification link
4. Log in with your credentials

**You start with 5 free processing per month!**

## Step 2: Complete Store Settings (15-20 min)

**⚠️ IMPORTANT: Do this before creating your first job!**

Go to **Account → Store Settings** and complete these 5 tabs:

### ✅ Store Info
– Store name, address, phone, ABN
– Terms & conditions for quotations

### ✅ Fabrics Library
1. Click **"Add Fabric"**
2. Enter: Type, ID (max 15 chars), Model, Width, Price
3. Click **"Save Fabrics"**

Example:
– Type: Blockout, ID: bk3000, Model: Premium Blockout, Width: 3000mm, Price: $120

### ✅ Tubes Library
1. Click **"Add Tube"**
2. Enter: ID, Diameter (32/38/43/50/63mm), Length, Price
3. Click **"Save Tubes"**

Example:
– ID: tube38, Diameter: 38mm, Length: 5000mm, Price: $45

### ✅ Rails Library
1. Click **"Add Rail"**
2. Enter: ID, Length, Price
3. Click **"Save Rails"**

Example:
– ID: rail5500, Length: 5500mm, Price: $20

### ✅ Tube Rules
1. Select fabric type (Blockout/Sunscreen/Light Filter)
2. Click **"Upload Tube Rules CSV"**
3. Upload your tube selection rules CSV file
4. Repeat for each fabric type

**CSV Format Example:**

### ✅ Parameters
Review default values (usually good to start with):
– Motor Price: $100
– Accessories: $65
– Fabric Extra Length: 150mm
– Other cutting parameters

## Step 3: Create Your First Job (5 min)

1. Click **"Start Measuring"**
2. Enter **Job Number** (e.g., "JOB001")
3. Click **"Get My Location"** (optional but recommended)

### Add Window:
1. Click **"+ Add Window"**
2. Enter:
– Room: "Living Room"
– Width: 2400 (mm)
– Drop: 1800 (mm)

### Add Blind:
1. Click **"+ Add Blind"**
2. Select:
– Fabric Type: Blockout
– Fabric Model: (choose from dropdown)
– Mount Type: Inside
– Roll Direction: Standard
– Control: Manual Chain
– Control Position: Left
– Chain Length: 1500

3. Click **"⚙️ Save & Process"**

**⏱️ Wait 60-90 seconds** for AI processing…

## Step 4: View Reports & Download (2 min)

After processing completes, you'll see:

### 📥 Download Reports:
– ✅ Work Sheet PDF (for production)
– ✅ Work Sheet CSV (for Excel)
– ✅ Fabric Cutting Plan (visual diagram)
– ✅ Tube & Rail Cutting Plan
– ✅ Labels (for each blind)

### 💰 Cost Analysis:
– Fabric costs by type
– Tube/rail costs
– Labor & accessories
– **Total cost**

Use this to prepare your quotation!

## Step 5: Send Quotation (3 min)

Scroll to **"Quotation"** section:

1. Fill in client details:
– Client Name
– Client Email
– Client Phone
– Client Address

2. Review/adjust pricing (defaults from cost analysis)

3. Click **"Save Quotation"** (saves to your records)

4. Click **"Send Quotation Email"** (sends to client + CC to you)

**Done!** ✅

## Quick Tips

### 💡 Save Quota
– Use **"💾 Save Only"** for drafts (FREE)
– Use **"⚙️ Save & Process"** only when ready (costs 1 quota)

### 💡 Editing Jobs
– Click **"Edit Job"** from Job Detail page
– Make changes to measurements
– Click **"Save Only"** (free) or **"Save & Reprocess"** (costs 1 quota)

### 💡 Managing Quota
– Check remaining quota: **Account → Dashboard**
– Free plan: 5/month
– Upgrade anytime: **Account → Subscription**

### 💡 Common Mistakes
– ❌ Processing before setting up Store Settings → Set up first!
– ❌ Fabric ID longer than 15 characters → Keep it short (e.g., "bk3000")
– ❌ Missing tube rules for fabric type → Upload rules for ALL fabric types
– ❌ Clicking "Reprocess" too many times → Each reprocess costs 1 quota!
